Drop 001 · by Myles Daughtry · —

Artifacts

The value is in the idea, not the output.

256 spectrums from one algorithm, each encrypted on-chain and opened only by the wallet that holds it. The drop runs in two parts: first THE SOURCE, the master, goes to auction. Then the 255 editions open, each drawn at random for whoever mints.

The idea

In a world where everyone has access, where people feel entitled to information, Artifacts represents things that maintain privacy. The value is in the idea and not the output.

Myles Daughtry

So the work is blind by design. Every piece is encrypted on-chain; all anyone else sees is its seal and its public traits. Its owner decides who, if anyone, sees the rest.

Each piece is, technically, its own smart contract. Its seed lives on-chain sealed, in a contract of its own, and the piece itself becomes its own contract, holding its one token, when it is claimed. Nothing is pooled: every work stands alone.

THE SOURCE, the master, is the one piece that can become public, and only if its owner chooses: once, and forever.

02

The collection

Every piece's traits are public: title, palette, colours, direction. The art is sealed and rendered only by the wallet that holds it.

    THE SOURCE

The master: the only work that holds every colour and every direction at once, the full prism the editions are fragments of. Its seed is already on-chain, encrypted, beside the rules that draw it, and nobody outside its making has seen it. It is sold first, by auction. Its owner receives its key, and one irreversible power: reveal it to the world forever, or keep the silence.

    How this drop works

    1 / Auction

    THE SOURCE first

The master is sold first, by a single-lot auction: each bid 5% above the last, a late bid adds 10 minutes, outbid ETH comes back.

    2 / Mint

    Then the editions

Pay the edition price. The contract splits it: 70% to the artist, 15% to Proof House, 15% to the agent who sent you, or to the house if none.

    3 / Draw + claim

    Your own contract

Chainlink VRF draws your edition at random. Register a viewing key, and claiming deploys your piece's own contract: your one token, your sealed seed, your key, its own resale.

    4 / View

    Yours to show, or not

Your wallet unwraps the key and renders the art locally, on your screen alone. Whether anyone else sees it is your choice. Resale runs through each piece's keyed escrow, with 7.5% to the artist.
